TWD showed its support for our military veterans by being a sponsor of the 2014 Easter Seals Advocacy Awards Dinner Event. Gen. John Campbell, the former United States Army Vice Chief of Staff and current Commander of Forces in Afghanistan and his wife, Ann, along with Hollister (Holly) Petraeus, Assistant Director for the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and Head of its Office of Service Member Affairs were honored at the event for their support of and involvement in numerous Veterans support programs.

Gen. Campbell is a 1979 graduate of the US Military Academy (USMA) and a number of his classmates in the DC area, including TWD CEO, Larry Besterman and the Easter Seals Advocacy Awards Dinner Event Chairman, Phil Panzarella, attended the event to show their support for the honorees and for the important work they do to provide assistance to members of the US military and their families. This year’s event focused on “Saluting the Military Family” and raised more than $530,000 to support Easter Seals programs that assist military families.
