Satellite Support
Earth Station Operation and Maintenance
TWD designs, engineers, installs, operates and maintains critical satellite earth stations. Our highly trained technicians are fluent in current satellite technology, including all system components from the antenna systems through to interface systems with the facility's technical control.
Our technicians' expertise saves clients time and money throughout the planning, installation and maintenance processes. We perform site surveys, identify optimum locations for the systems and identify other site support requirements, including environmental prescriptions.
After the system is installed, TWD maintains all equipment, ensuring that necessary support systems are up and running. We handle all circuit activations and ensure that the SSOG is adhered to and that activations are properly approved and coordinated to avoid interference with adjacent satellite users or circuit degradation. Our technicians develop operating procedures for the facilities, establish maintenance schedules, and created upgrade/replacement programs for major system components.
Our technicians have traveled within the CONUS and overseas to install satellite and microwave systems. These projects required the Company's technicians to perform site surveys to identify optimum locations for the systems to be installed as well as to identify power, environmental, and other site support requirements. TWD also possesses extraordinary expertise in satellite hardware acquisition, installation, space segment access, transmission plans, SSOG testing and training. With TWD's experts involved, clients are assured that their earth stations are being designed and run by a team that delivers the best designs, systems and service for them.
