Integrated Logistics Support

For many years, TWD has provided overall program integrated logistics support for all categories of Navy Acquisition Programs. This support includes, but is not limited to, advising clients in the areas of Acquisition Reform and Program requirements in accordance with current policies and procedures.

DOD Policies and Procedures

TWD is the focal point for our client in matters pertaining to the latest policies and procedures, changes and updates, training and integrating military requirements into the commercial industrial bases. TWD also:

• Recommends revisions to policies and procedures
• Provides guidance in streamlining requirements to fit the requirements of each individual program
• Maintains and regularly updates a database on all logistics and acquisition reform policies and procedures
• Alerts program officers to changes so that they can be incorporated or implemented
• Informs clients about upcoming opportunities for training

Instructions and Documentation

TWD prepares specific Program Office Instructions consolidating DOD, Acquisition Reform and Navy requirements into one document and assists in the implementation of this instruction. We give managers the freedom to succeed by providing expert assistance. TWD's services include:

• review of programmatic documentation to ensure their compliance with the requirements and that they meet the technical, funding, scheduling and supportability constraints as approved by the decision authority;
• support for Integrated Logistics Support Management Team Meetings, including preparation of meeting agendas, presentations and minutes to these meetings.
