Ashwin Karkera

Ashwin Karkera was named TWD’s Chief Information Officer in July 2017. As the CIO, Mr. Karkera has three areas of responsibility. His primary responsibility is to help define and implement a standard service delivery process for IT services to TWD’s customers. He will oversee a governance process to ensure TWD’s best ITSS practices are captured on programs and incorporated into the TWD standard delivery process. He also will oversee implementation of the TWD Quality Management System. His other areas of responsibility are to perform as the chief solution architect for all Federal IT new business opportunities and provide executive oversight to the company’s new business proposal team.

Mr. Karkera has extensive experience implementing business-technology centric solutions in financial and educational sectors, project/program management, and federal government including but not limited to operations, networks, systems, application design and development, service level management, policy management and security operations.

Mr. Karkera holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering and a post-graduate diploma in Computer Applications from Greycells Technologies. He also holds certifications for Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Srum Master (CSM), Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe®) Agilist, PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP®), ITIL and all AWS Professional and Associate Certifications.
